Overall Satisfaction with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room

We do M&A, store files to manage access to potential buyers. We use a Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room in every deal to securely pass data between client and potential buyers to ensure everything is secure and tracked - analytics are very helpful for review of the Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room throughout the deal lifecycle. Would highly recommend.

Pros

Cons

  • Can’t select and delete multiple permission groups
  • More warning / alerting for permissioning — you click small buttons that sometimes can be misclicked
  • Automatic formatting of emails when copy pasting - software doesn’t always detect and mistakes are sometimes made
  • Easy to use — saves junior bankers time
  • Safe — less information leaks as permissioning is easy and relatively transparent
  • Great customer Support
Tough to figure out at first but after using the platform for some time, you can get used to Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room pretty quickly. Would be great to have more of a tutorial up front to better be able to navigate the software, especially starting off as the data dealt with is sensitive.
Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room is much better in terms of an interface — very way to use which saves a lot of time. The biggest advantage is permissioning and the ease of doing that. Personally, have made much more mistakes with the other solutions due to complicated navigation of permissioning and the time it takes to get it right.

It is the best platform — extremely easy to use and is leagues above the other solutions. Very useful when there are a lot of parties, can quick add and remove parties and adjust permissioning. Adding and removing access is easy, publishing and inheriting settings are also very helpful for efficiency.
