Overall Satisfaction with Db2

We use Db2 for z/OS in our financial applications. We also share our data assets to no maninframe-applications via REST APIs using native Stored Procedures
We do not have business problems, Db2 help us to store the data of our customers

Pros

Cons

  • It would be great to manage VSAM Files as Db2 Tables
  • Run Java applications with Db2
  • the use of Db2 has increase the reliability of our applications
  • The high availability in a Sysplex Data Sharing
The robustness of the Db2 engine. It is always available
To expose Stored Procedures as REST APIs to Rest Clients outside the mainframe
