Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

Draftsight is a very useful tool and is used by many in the organization. Designs are created for layouts and schematics of custom items manufactured and helps me to check requirements and correctly and fully construct as per the design and requirements. I am relatively new to the product but really like it and it seems a very powerful tool that I want to learn more about.

Pros

  • Custom layouts.
  • Easy to pick up and learn.
  • Views and saves DWG files.

Cons

  • Professional version is 2D only so limited here for more complex designs.
  • Annual cost to use it now as it used to be free.
  • Consistency in delivery of requirements from designs.
  • Colleague who uses AutoCAD says it has similar functions so helpful here too.
10, it really helps me in my job—very helpful. Absolutely would recommend this if asked, as whilst there is now an annual fee to use the product, overall, it's a small price to pay for the time saved. I am relatively new to the product but really like it and it seems a very powerful tool I've experienced so far.
