Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

Used by an individual to produce CAD drawings for construction.
  • Cheap.
  • Renewal process is horrendous. Dialogues give conflicting messages, can't upgrade or renew unless you deactivate it first (but it doesn't tell you that) and zero support except a chat bot that refuses to do anything unless you are using DraftSight Premium.
  • Unable to work on projects due to renewal issues.
DraftSight is less user friendly than AutoCAD, has fewer features, but does come in at a low cost. However, the cost is astronomic if you can't actually use the thing.
Unsuited to any scenario where you actually need it to work after renewal. Use once then discard. Piece of junk that the developers don't seem to bother testing.
