Overall Satisfaction with ECI BuildTools

We use ECI MarkSystems, Insearch and Lasso. I mainly use ECI MarkSystems for Purchasing and Estimating. ECI MarkSystems helps us tremendously with comparing bids with trade partners. Having a material list to share with a trade partner makes it a very easy process. Insearch is newer for our organization but our sales and design teams are starting to implement and make their appointments much more efficient as well. There are lots of good things to say!

Pros

  • ECI MarkSystems
  • ITK
  • Insearch

Cons

  • I'd like for historical data to be more detailed. Between users, time stamps, etc.
  • ITK Scheduling. A lot of our trade partners utilize ITK differently because there are so many areas to get to the same information. It would be nice for it to be streamlined so that we can get them all using it the same way.
  • Setting up the system as intended over the last few years has make workload much better, VPOs have been significantly reduced, etc.
  • We have greatly reduced the amount of options, but implementing replacement options.
For our particular organization, we are semi-custom, which can make things a little more complex but we have almost always been able to find a solution due to its flexibility.
I haven't used any other tools, but I can say that ECI BuildTools has been great for our organization.

Out of all the software I have been exposed to, ECI MarkSystems really is the most user friendly for not only the builder but for trade partners as well.
