Overall Satisfaction with EMS Software

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for booking rooms throughout three Colleges: Cypress, Fullerton, NOCE. Currently, it is being used by the whole organization which includes multiple departments throughout the three campuses. EMS helps everyone manage building resources better. It allows them to see room's availability and book the rooms they need for hosting all events at the campuses.

Cons

ADA compliant feature is needed
Shopping cart feature is needed with the ability for users to make payment. This will allow users to easily pay for events that they book
EMS needs a page that showcases all the modules, and whether or not those features are included or a paid add-on
A public sandbox that allows users to test different features of the EMS application. This can help users decide whether or not a paid module they do not have is a worthwhile investment for their organization.

Return on Investment

It allows users to quickly view the room's availability and event schedules.
EMS allows users to schedule rooms for their events.
It allows users to easily send emails to recipients with room and booking information.

Alternatives Considered

I have not tried other competing software similar to the EMS system.

Scalability

Users are able to get their job done using the software. It is easy enough to set up and upgrade for me, personally, as an IT Project Leader. In addition, there are many tools and features that allow for integration with the software which seem extremely useful, however, I have not had the chance to try them out yet. I'm looking forward to doing so in the near future.

Product Configurability

There seem to be many configurations available for the EMS software. I have not personally had to do too much configuration with the current system besides configuring connecting strings and creating and managing users.
I particularly like the ability to configure the product's look and feel. It really helps give a personalized look that fits with the current organizational schema.

Likelihood to Recommend

Good for booking but still not compliant with some necessary things like ADA. Currently, there are so many features in the EMS application but we do not know if we want anything more than what we have. Since there is no sandbox for us to explore new features, we are not sure if there are any features that can add value to our organization.
