We have many essential apps that service a wide range of users, so we require the ability to be able to add and remove nodes to use with one vip. We use F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) to help with load balancing our apps. Without it, we would be in a pretty sticky situation with not being able to spread the load.
