Implementation Rating

We ran into an issue with XC where inside of our GRE tunnels we ran into an MTU issue, so that hampered our rollout but we will be reattempting the cutover again soon.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We recently rolled out XC and are utilizing WAF & WAAP which involves bot detection/defense.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Having a baseline offering that has automated detection is nice
I think that having all the telemetry available from the F5 XC backbone is a good idea, so customers can be keyed into all current legitimate threats

Return on Investment

Still too early to determine ROI, but the ease of deployment of WAF policies and security posture in XC definitely has high potential for future savings and ROI

Support Rating

Having a dedicated SOC to handle the diagnoses for XC is pretty cool. An adjustment for sure, but having the dedicated resources is nice.
