Overall Satisfaction with F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall)

It's more on defining the prior policies

Pros

  • It has helped us a lot in terms of setting up the proxy firewall rules and making sure we are blocking the right traffic. We are not getting a lot of false positives out of it. That is one thing which has been working well.

Cons

  • Allowing features to configure dynamic policies.
  • The key business outcome to keep the internal resources secure from the external traffic, that has been pretty much successful. We haven't seen any hit on our side.
F5 has traditionally helped us in terms of our on-prem instances and that's where we have been using it.
Yes - It has been doing pretty well in terms of managing the services that whatever we configured F5 for, it has been delivering on it.
I have not evaluated any other product like this.

I think it's more suited for enterprise applications where they want to configure the proxies at the network level, it works really well. But the cons side, I can't think of a negative scenario where it'll not work for the large enterprises.
