Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our School uses Gradelink to track student grades (not surprisingly). We also track student details such as contact info and insurance info, etc. Gradelink has more features than we use.

Pros and Cons

It is easy to keep grades online.
Students and Families each have a log in so grades are visible to all.

I wish I had a better system for tracking student specific notes (behavioral).
I wish the admin platform and the teacher platform weren't so different, so I could learn more from teachers (who use Gradelink even more than I do).

Return on Investment

Gradelink helps keep everyone organized; having some kind of similar platform is a must.

Alternatives Considered

I've also used PowerSchool. It was a long time ago. It had features I missed when I switched to Gradelink, but maybe Gradelink is more economical?

Support Rating

Support is the MOST important part. A tool you can't use is not valuable, even if it has lots of bells and whistles. I love the support we get from Gradelink.

We are a small school and it works for us, but I think it could also work for much larger schools. We are a school with relatively traditional grading systems. Other systems would offer better matches for schools looking to do more unusual things with grading.
