Overall Satisfaction with Hexnode UEM

Useful for monitoring a fleet of OSX or Win machines, ensuring security applications are installed, and that device configurations are compliant. Automatic reporting is useful to get compliance reports, as well as instant reporting when a device moves out of compliance. Onboarding and offboarding operations automation is handy, with the ability to preprovision standard applications and configurations on new machines, as well as to remote wipe during device offboarding.

Pros

  • Fleet compliance monitoring
  • Remote onboarding
  • Remote offboarding
  • Automatic fleet configuration

Cons

  • No Linux Support
  • Remote operations may need to be applied multiple times to work
  • Inaccurate system statistics
  • Less Carbon Based Automation
  • Easier audit reporting
  • Easier device on/off boarding
UX is pretty good, but various screens are a bit redundant. Managing user and managing devices is often one in the same operation, but is broken across multiple screens. Device management policies are strange because if you make a "macOS" policy, why does it have all the Windows, iOS, Android etc options? It's unlikely you'll want all of these options for all possible OSes in one policy, but that's the only way to build a policy. Manage policy changes require remote system restart which is highly disruptive to employees.
Far better than Drata because the Drata solution felt like an MVP (minimum viable product). Comparatively you can do tons more with Hexnode UEM at a comparable price point. Drata did however did have broader OS support, but Drata's lack of configurability left it as only a partial and challenging solution. Hexnode UEM is an MDM suite by comparison.

Do you think Hexnode UEM delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Hexnode UEM's feature set?

Yes

Did Hexnode UEM live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Hexnode UEM go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Hexnode UEM again?

Yes

Strongest for managing Windows machines, less for for OSX. Automatic email reports the instant machines move in or out of compliance are handy, as well as weekly (pick you schedule) reports delivered via email. The ability to pick remote applications for install has limited support in their online application library.
