Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio

IBM Apptio is currently used for chargeback and generating Bill of IT. We are looking to expand on our use case by building a long range forecasting model which take high level expense drivers like project, service, vendor and headcount to project a multi year application TCO view that would show direct controllable application costs vs foundational and indirect costs.

The businesses benefit by seeing a consistent bill of IT view that provides a breakdown of their IT investment across new projects, application maintenance and support, as well usage of shared services across on premise and on cloud platforms. The bill of it gives them levers to adjust their business application cost based on their application roadmap.
The support team ensures that IBM Apptio is up and running during key month end close processing cycles and annual forecasting cycles. The support team helps identify best practices within the product that we are not using, and how to consider using some of those new features. Product strategic direction however is not a strength.
