IBM Cloud is a low cost cloud solution that provides good ROI

IBM Cloud for VMware was evaluated during a proof of concept project where we compared the viability of the product against other cloud solutions. I am only aware of its usage by our department however it is a large company and it may be used in other pockets. The business problem we tried to solve with the product was the ability to burst workloads into the public cloud in order to meet customer demand before company-owned physical hardware could be deployed.

The goal of using IBM Cloud for VMware was to burst existing workloads into the cloud on-demand in order to meet customer demand before physical hardware could be deployed in-country. This solution allowed us to maintain legacy apps and helped us shift development costs away from writing new apps while providing better security and DR/backup solutions.

Engaging with support was a breeze. After opening a ticket, an engineer was assigned within minutes and provided good troubleshooting actions to take before jumping onto a screen share session. The engineer that I worked with had a good background in virtualization and was able to address my issue with the urgency that is required.
