Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloudability
Today, we are using it for cost transparency and insights. It allows us to see resource costs across 3 Cloud Service Providers. We utilize business mappings deeply to create linkage to our internal business applications. It also allows use to see trending per account level and for new releases we are able to confirm our cost expectation.
Pros
- Cost Transparency
- Business Mappings
- Reporting
Cons
- Report sharing/anomaly to emails/slack, today the tool only allows subscriptions from users. Would like to be able to set up account point of contact subscriptions towards the account vending phase.
- Very similar to what Apptio has done with KubeCost, would love to see more feature sets around shared services such as Network layer, being able to allocate by tags / cloudwatch metrics more out of the box.
- Lot of our user feedback has been about dashboards, they are used to seeing the CSP dashboards and having trouble correlate the same information into Cloudabiilty for cross account view.
- cost-effective on public cloud savings
- improved visibility into the enterprise cloud spend
- improved visibility into the troubleshooting "rouge" resources.
- IBM Apptio (formerly ApptioOne)
