Overall Satisfaction with IBM FlashSystem

Our IBM FlashSystem 7200 [(formerly Storwize V7000)] is being used to support our video operations as well as act as a repository for our virtual servers and the many applications that they in turn support. This includes MSSQL, Oracle, and MySQL instances. We also host some of our own web servers in the same grouping.

The Storwize solution ended up being the more affordable option and was Flash ready from the start. We will continue to go with the [IBM] FlashSystem solution because of the great support and ability to easily adapt to our needs.
The flash based storage is good for getting the data out quickly and reliably. The rebuilds are very quick and configuration changes are so much better than traditional spinning disk solutions. If you just need cheap JBOD storage however this solution is probably overkill, but reliability is always a good sell. I would use the [IBM] FlashSystem 7200 [(formerly Storwize V7000)] with almost any solution.
