Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics

We are using across the whole organization, to follow the budget. We have reviewed version inside the software. We still don’t have good reports, but we are working on it. The main areas that we achieve are Financial Planning and a little bit of HR. The employees don’t use yet the full potential of the software.

Pros

  • Areas data integration in real time.
  • Possibility to analyze the data by graphs.
  • Complicated calcs with single rules.

Cons

  • Take out the feeders.
  • More facility to change the displays on WS.
  • More detailed budget.
  • Time saved.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • More control on budget.
In this moment we are not using the scenario planning. It’s one of our goals for the future.

Because the waiting for the answer is too long, and normally they ask basic stuff that we already have done to try to resolve the problem.
For me it’s fine, but for the people that get it for the 1st time, it is so complex.
Suitable : financial planning, HR, products.

Unsuitable: timesheet.
