Overall Satisfaction with IBM Security Network Intrusion Prevention System

We integrate the IBM Security Network IPS with our existing Cisco ASA to enhance the ability of intrusion detection and also provide appropriate prevention to any abnormal behaviors quickly.

Pros

  • real-time threat detection and awareness
  • integration with Cisco Security Appliances
  • provide reliable prevention to threats with high performance for the multi-site and multi-node clustering

Cons

  • The troubleshooting is time-consuming
  • Does not work well with SNORT function
  • Cost is not cheap, so the ROI may be low
  • It is a trustful tool
  • The support is strong
Not easy to configure to integrate with other devices.
Not easy to do the troubleshooting.
