Overall Satisfaction with IBM Storage FlashSystem
When we started our power on-prem cloud there was a need or a storage system that was of course supported by the automation that we decided to go with. The automation journey has been using older products and also other vendors orchestrators (both HP and VMware) but when we started using PowerVC we got what we needed and that made the storage choice.
Pros
- ease of management
- APIs and cli functions
- stability and performance
Cons
- call home for support should be able to use the "second interface@ of networking and not demand the use of the "first" since that admin interface is always on the inside.
- since the storage system is behind PowerVC it saves a long with Ansible 4-6h / deployment
- day-2-day work behind powervc saves also lots of work, in this case speeds up all incidents.
