Overall Satisfaction with IBM watsonx.ai
We use watsonx.ai to build an RFP bid automation system. We leverage the large language models available on watsonx.ai, such as Meta llama2, Meta llama3, and IBM Granite, to perform several steps of the RFP analysis process. The analysis includes profiling, question answering, etc. We also did some work with prompt tuning to classify the document sections.
Pros
- The models are up to date.
- New models are available almost immediately (such as llama 3.1).
- It has an easy web interface.
- It provides a ready-to-use model endpoints.
Cons
- The prompt-tuned model sometimes fails; I need to try again in a few seconds for it to work. This happens often.
- Prompt tune more up to date models (e.g: llama3 or llama3.1 instead of llama2 only).
- Better documentation on how to use the endpoints.
- The models I leveraged can convert unclear text into clear sentences that are ready to be presented to stakeholders.
- The cost is so small compared to the benefits that it is considered a really good ROI.
- The cost is also competitive compared with other llm solutions on the market.
This is actually my first job, and I haven't had any experience with products other than IBM's because I am working for an IBM business partner. However, we leverage Watson.data for other tasks, such as storing data or creating an elastic search database for all our documents and requests.
