Overall Satisfaction with Jahia Digital Experience Platform

Jahia Digital Experience Platform is used internally to provide the employee portal of the company (17000 users, almost most of them do not use it at all - it is there for internal services access, internal documentation, and service federation). Jahia Digital Experience Platform is being used as a portal manager and as a CMS and not for its personalization and AB testing features, which we have no use of.

  • Content versioning is totally missing :(
  • Initial ramp up can be tedious, that's a vast platform
  • Bugs in the image management screen
  • Our once frustrated contributors are now happy to create content with Jahia Digital Experience Platform!
  • Pages are snappy and bug-free, which wasn't always the case.
  • Jahia Digital Experience Platform has mapped our complex organization into nice roles and permissions.
  • All our external services were nicely integrated into a modern portal.
  • Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP)
Liferay was our previous CMS, and while it had some perks it was old and slow (we lived with an outdated version). Jahia Digital Experience Platform and Liferay are very similar from an architecture standpoint and that's why we switched to Jahia Digital Experience Platform. Liferay is more suited for technical portal integrations and our requirement was more on the content authoring simplicity, which is the strength of Jahia Digital Experience Platform.

Jahia Digital Experience Platform thrives as a portal platform for us, it is a perfect fit. We have a complex organization and a granular permission approach was a must-have for us. The pages are snappy, and bug-free and the content authoring experience is extremely intuitive, even with 30 users creating content at the same time (which is our ballpark). Jahia Digital Experience Platform was also considered for a retail use case (a side platform that has nothing to do with our user portal) and Jahia Digital Experience Platform wouldn't have been of any use there - it doesn't have commerce integrations.
