Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Now

I used Jamf Now to manage our board members' and executives' iPads and iPhones. While this tool could have easily handled a larger team, it was more than perfect for the small group of individuals we needed to manage devices for.

Pros

  • Automation
  • Great for Apple MDM
  • Very intuitive

Cons

  • UI can feel a bit messy to some
  • Not great for a mix environment (Windows + Apple)
  • Kind of a steep learning curve
  • Jamf Now provides an extra layer of granularity when it comes to device details
  • Smart groups are better that Intune's dynamic AAD groups
  • Scripts can be made much more complex than competitors
Working in an environment with just macOS devices, Jamf Now is a great option. With Jamf Now, you get details with configurations that get down to the fine details of each device. Without Jamf Now, it would be a much bigger headache managing our Apple devices. Overall, this application makes our jobs much easier.
Jamf Now understands Apple devices better because it's designed to manage them. While Intune offers Apple device management, it can be finicky and hard to get details about the device. It really only sits under our umbrella with Intune, but with Jamf Now, we can have much more control over our configurations.

Do you think Jamf Now delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Jamf Now's feature set?

Yes

Did Jamf Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Jamf Now go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Jamf Now again?

Yes

If you’re working in a homogeneous environment with just macOS/iOS-based devices, Jamf Now is a great option. If you work in a heterogeneous environment with Macs, Windows, and even Linux, products like InTune and Automox are better suited for multi-platform support. With multi-platform products, you lose the configuration granularity with the products mentioned above regarding the macOS/iOS user experience. Honestly, I use Jamf Now for my Apple-based products.
