Overall Satisfaction with JFrog Artifactory

JFrog Artifactory was mainly used to store Private artifacts registry/ binaries of technologies like Docker, Python etc., It is very useful for daily deployments. Rather the using jenkin plugins with Jenkin Pipeline, JFrog Artifactory with jenkin pipeline was more effective. It helps in reducing the latency issues we faced while accessing binaries across different verticals of region mainly due to mirrored applications.

Pros

  • Easy for regular/daily deploymetns
  • Automated feature from one env repo to other before deployment
  • Comparing feature - Way the product compares the artifact between current and previous versions

Cons

  • Maintenance of Artifacts are difficult, more documentations will be helpful
  • Issues like artifact not found
  • Manage application packages
  • Docker Containers
  • To store OS component dependencies
  • Latency decreased through local repositories
  • People can access the artifacts from different verticals

It is the best platform to store all binaries and artifacts in one place. Easy to maintain. Very useful for all developers to store and access all related data from one place. It allows us to integrate with other devops tools easily. The user interface of the product is neat and simple to use. Build management made simple.
