Overall Satisfaction with Juniper Contrail Networking

I support Cisco ACI the Juniper Contrail competence. I had the good fortune to put in place in the LAB when working at IBM Juniper Contrail. The platform is the same as ACI contains Spine and leaf and the graphical interface is much easier than the competition. It seems to be a very robust solution and cheaper than Cisco. Contrail designs secure, automates, and executes the complete service lifecycle on NFX, EX, SRX, and MX 5G series network services platforms. It integrates and links with Mist Cloud for seamless Wi-Fi management.
  • Contrail Networking automates network resource.
  • Providing reliability and agility while extending visibility into your multi-cloud network.
  • Advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Not much information from the vendor.
  • Not a platform widely used by customers.
  • Multi tenancy.
  • Load balancing.
  • Analytics services.
  • API services.
  • Open Architecture.
  • Ultra-Fast Processing.
  • Automated Integration.
  • Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)
The platforms are very similar in networking concepts, at the interface level I found it easier to use Juniper Contrail than Cisco ACI. And at the cost level, I think it is cheaper.

Do you think Juniper Contrail Networking delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Juniper Contrail Networking's feature set?

Yes

Did Juniper Contrail Networking live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Juniper Contrail Networking go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Juniper Contrail Networking again?

Yes

The platform is good, robust, and scalable. It is much cheaper than Cisco ACI but unfortunately in Argentina, I have never seen this solution installed. You can only test it in a lab. The platform is ideal for NFVI, CSP, and Datacenter.
