Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI
We use Kendo UI across several channels of our business division. The business unit that I am in chose Kendo UI to help us deliver the user experience design our UX team had envisioned which included several highly customized controls as well as an editable grid. Our experience so far has been great. We haven't found too much that we can't do with their very robust set of controls and framework APIs. Kendo controls have been used heavily by our application in production for a number of years now. We are very pleased with the product.
- Kendo's controls are awesome. Highly customizable. Consistently designed making adoption and extensions easier. Best of all is that the controls just work without any major issues.
- Kendo keeps modernizing their offering which makes scaling with new technologies easier to adopt.
- Kendo's library offers you a ton of consistency. The source is written in a clean and consistent manner rendering it fairly easy to pickup and understand what's happening quickly. The control scaffolding and usage is consistent, so it is easy to start playing with a new control type and pick it up.
- The only complaint I have is around the lack of meaningful example documentation. It's just not quite there.
- Kendo enabled us to deliver the application we committed to provide to our clients on-time. The in-house alternative approach would have pushed us several months past our deadline.
I haven't really evaluated any other similar products.
