Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus

Phisher Plus allows us to effectively and easily receive phishing and spam reports from our users. Further it allows us to action the alerts with a few clicks, even allowing removal of malicious emails from all of our users inboxes. The system saves us time and headache in blocking phishing related emails sent to our users.

Pros

  • Phish reporting button is easy for end users
  • Very easy to configure and setup
  • Easily block email addresses, domains, URLs, and attachment hashes
  • Integrates easily with Virus total to scan attachments
  • Automation rules allow you to remediate or ignore automatically

Cons

  • I wish that we could permanently block things, the max allowed time is 60 days
  • The login flow is a bit clunky in that you have to log into the KB4 portal and then open Phisher Plus
  • The system could be a bit more proactive in looking for malicious emails
  • Easier and faster response to phishing emails
  • Proactive response to phishing attacks
  • Much easier to use than Microsoft's phishing response interface
We have used a number of automation rules to allow the system to automatically resolve known safe senders (spam for example) that should be "Unsubscribed" by the users instead of sending into the system for review. This has cut down the number of emails that need review from 30-50%, saving a lot of time for our IT team.
The Phisher Blocklist is a great feature that integrates into the Office 365 blocklist but with a way better interface. We don't use the PhishFlip features much, but it's a great way to add Real phishing emails to your usual list of phishing templates. Phish ML allows us to easily gauge (and automate) response based on if it's deemed a phish or spam.

The system just works great for what it is meant to do. Being able to see all of my users reported emails in a single pane and being able to action them if needed is a great value add for our IT team. All of my complaints are all minor.

KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus Implementation

Implementation was done by one person on our team in a few hours. It was a breeze.
  • Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal
  • Some of the documentation was a bit lacking at the time, but it was still fairly new, and has now since been improved.
  • It was a bit unclear which version of the "Phishing Alert Button" to push out based on the documentation.
