Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

I have always had my own copy of Nuance/Kofax Power PDF.
Almost no company that I worked for supplied Acrobat Adobe professional.
So to edit PDFs, I always used Nuance/Kofax Power PDF.
It is so easy to use, and does not cost too much. So, I purchase my own copy.
  • Creation of documents.
  • Editing documents.
  • Converting Word and Excel documents.
  • Splitting documents.
  • Pasting selections of Excel documents into Power PDF does not work well. Tabs and line feeds are not clean.
  • Time savings for certain. Editing and converting is time consuming.
  • When my co-workers get stuck, without any enterprise solution, I can do the conversion for them.
I found it was easier and more intuitive than Acrobat Adobe Plus.
The menus are a great help. The icons become very easy to understand after a short amount of time.
The PDF splitting and/or combining is a breeze. Nearly self directed.
I have not used any other product, other than Acrobat Adobe Plus.
Kofax's menus are better.
The icons are more readily identifiable.
The guidance Kofax's product gives to splitting a PDF, or combining multiple PDF sections into one is great.

Cost versus function.
Availability of Kofax product. Since I can purchase it myself for a reasonable cost, and cannot get enterprises to purchase Acrobat Adobe Plus, I am well ahead.
Even if they would purchase Acrobat Adobe Plus, I would still purchase my own Kofax Power PDF.
I use it for filling out PDF documents for personal use.

Filling out forms.
Converting documents.
Splitting documents.
Combining documents.
It works well in the marketplace. It should be marketed better to enterprises as an alternative to Acrobat Adobe Pro.
So many documents are generated and require conversion into PDF formats.
Most enterprises do not want to spend any money on tools. They are caught up in Adobe's high costs and do not understand this option is even there.
