Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used the product prior to Kofax purchasing it. We use it to view, edit, assemble documents, and sign pdf files.

Pros and Cons

Document assembly.

Overall it is has a very slow interface causing user to wait for actions to be performed.
"Clunky" interface.
Not as intuitive as it should be.

Return on Investment

Issues with the program crashing any time you printed a file. Lost hours working with their support on getting Kofax to print over multiple days. Eventually they were able to resolve the issue.

Ease-of-Use

Clunky program that feels like it is old technology. The program is very slow when opening documents and performing some routine tasks.

I spent a few hours over some sessions working with what I would say was their immediate support. They could not resolve the problem of the program crashing when I would attempt to print it. Their support was responsive in setting up a time with an outside contractor they use to resolve the issue. This person was able to resolve after a few hours. Their support did make a good effort to resolve the issue and had good followup.

I have used Kofax to edit PDFs. It is not very intuitive, but it gets the job done...eventually.
