Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
It is our only PDT viewer/editor. The biggest benefit is that it is resident on the office computer, we do not have to rely on internet connections and it is a one time purchase. Aside from creating PDFs, we use it to convert PDFs to other formats and edit PDFs with need to convert to another format.
- Create PDFs. Very good except I cannot convert the body of emails to pDF
- Convert PDFs to other format. Flawless, but I have only converted to MS Word.
- Editing PDFs. Clunky. I cannot keep a change in fonts of size throughout the entire document. I have to set the font and size each time I go to a new line or area - this only applies to non-fillable PDFs.
- Making PDFs searchable. Have not used feature.
- Converting emails to PDFs. I cannot figure out how to convert the body of an email to PDF, just the attachments.
- Converting webpages to PDFs. No issues.
- A one time license is they way to go. I do not have to depend on the cloud.
Very easy to use and intuitive especially if your prior experience is Adobe. The help section is also well thought out.
Adobe became cloud based and SAS and it was no longer worth it. ABBYY FineReader was not easy to use and not intuitive. In fact I abandoned ABBYY after purchasing it because it was so frustrating and bought Kofax. Kofax easily is the equal of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
