Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

I use it as a volunteer to assist religious staff with PDF document creation and editing, form creation and editing, and PDF conversion to Word documents.
  • Form creation and editing.
  • Conversion of simple PDF document to Word.
  • Easy to use.
  • Sometime it is not clear which menu item to select, particular for writing in Power PDF.
  • If the view is not of a full page, moving a page from place / document to another place/ document is quirky.
  • Forms with box borders can be touchy to edit.
  • Conversion of complex PDFs, i.e. tables, column, is not always good.
  • Creation of online forms for parish functions: reduction in paper/ mailing costs and easier for the congregation to enroll.
  • Conversion of PDF document of editing vs re-creation of documents.
For me it is easy to use most of time and the benefit is it saved staff time.

It depends on the user's ability to adapt to new software and what there needs really are. Often occassional use by staff is best left to someone like me who uses Power PDF more frequently and is willing to purchase Power PDF to help them when they need a special PDF document.
