Overall Satisfaction with LambdaTest

LambdaTest is used to test websites on mobile devices. It allows me to not have to procure physical devices which can be expensive and restrictive as the access given to us would be to only one version of the OS at the time. Using LambdaTest I'm able to test on multiple mobile devices AND ALSO multiple versions of the OS of said devices. This allows more precise testing especially while addressing issues observed only on certain versions of the OS.

Pros

  • Give access to wide range of mobile devices
  • Give access to wide range of OS and versions
  • Reduce the need for numerous physical devices

Cons

  • I think the performance leaves a little to be desired
  • Keyboard shortcuts to do actions on the simulated devices would improve LambdaTest incredibly
  • Option to access older devices and OS
  • Ensured website UI is responsive
  • Helped resolve OS-specific issues
  • Slowed down testing due to performance limitations
Although the features and options being offered are excellent, it is difficult to use and navigate while simulating devices as the performance is slightly less than optimal. Due to this, testing becomes a lot more cumbersome and off putting. What would make LambdaTest a 10/10 would be to improve the performance.
I have not really used any other testing tools as much as I have used LambdaTest tool as it is currently the best option with the widest range of features and services. Other services definitely lack in terms of the options and features the users are being given access to.

LambdaTest is excellent when you are testing a newly deployed website to validate the UI and responsiveness on different devices, OS and screen sizes. However, in my experience, it is not ideal for testing in a development environment. It is not worth doing tests in dev environment with the current performance levels of LambdaTest.
