Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Our business hosts a wide variety of client websites and databases on servers provided by Linode.

Pros

  • Excellent server
  • Competitive price
  • Fantastic customer service and technical support

Cons

  • The cloud firewall isn't yet out of beta
  • We charge our clients for hosting and are able to make a significant profit on our own investment in Linode
Linode is much, much simpler than AWS but provides us with all the power and features we need.
I rarely need to use Linode support, but when I do, it's prompt and friendly and helpful.
Linode is an excellent provider of standalone LAMP servers in the cloud, providing power and flexibility at a great price, without the complexity of Amazon AWS or similar competitors.
