Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Before migration to a static site platform, Linode ran my entire website for a little under 2 years. This website took a vps to run well and I was able to ensure stability. Compared to AWS I actually saw better uptime and reliability when I was using Linode. Overall I have been very impressed with Linode's offerings and only wish that they offered Windows VM's too.

Linode vs. DigitalOcean is one of the closest competitions in the cloud computing industry that I have seen. When it comes to the two I see that the pricing is very very similar and the performance is also very similar. The difference comes with the company culture, support, ease of use, and ping times to my location.
Linode's support is one of the reasons that I like them more than their competition. Usually, in the tech world you get shitty support when not paying for an enterprise tier plan, with Linode this is not the case and I have always felt respected and heard by Linode as a customer.
Linode effectively solved the problems that my website posed with grace. I used vps's throughout and also used block storage and both of these services were provided and easy to use. The total costs (factoring in reliability) are not expensive at all compared to other providers and the experience is great!
In my years of using Linode, we literally had like 2 outages that personally affected our website and took it down. The reliability is the main reason that I recommend Linode over OVH, AWS Lightsail, and DigitalOcean. Before I used Linode, I used Lightsail and grew tired of the sub-par reliability that I frequently experenced.
They are my default cloud computing company. When it comes to recommendations, we can see cases of OVH Fire that turn out bad, I trust that Linode protects our infrastructure as it is their own. I do not have the need for cloud computing at the moment, but when I do I will be spinning up a new Linode VM.
