Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We have used Linode for hosting web servers, database servers, and Linux servers for the DEV and UAT applications. It provides a large array of services and options to customize the server usage based on the load and requirements.
  • Flexibility to increase the size of the servers based on the application load.
  • Pricing model is really good and very cost effective.
  • Ease of use to implement changes at root level based on the application-specific installations and configurations.
  • Support from the Linode team is really good and responsive.
  • Support for multiple operating systems needs improvement.
  • Documentation needs some improvement with more elaborative flow diagrams and examples about niche functionalities.
  • A considerable amount of training and study is required by the engineers to initially set up and start working on the servers.
  • Independence of managing the instances and servers based on our requirements.
  • Cost effective solution as compared to other competitors.
  • Consistent and reliable performance.
Linode support team has really fulfilled its promise of 24/7/365 support. Our engineers have logged incidents related to user-level access and server deployments. Linode team has always ensured to provide the solution on the fly and helped us save a lot of time.
Overall, we are really satisfied with the Linode offerings and pricing. It has provided us a cost-effective and high-performance platform with all the options in a single place. This in return has saved us cost for maintenance, but more importantly time.
Primarily we are using Linode for our DEV and UAT applications. Uptime is important with respect to load testing scenarios. We need to ensure that we have a rock-solid infrastructure in place which can handle different scenarios with ease.
