Overall Satisfaction with MakerBot Replicator

MakerBot Replicator has been used in the classroom by Middle School students. Students started by sending files to printer then we took some of the classes online and they started to make or adjust their own designs. Has also been used in our Facilities dept in making some smaller pieces needed for some of their work.

Pros

  • finished files fast
  • setup is clean and organized
  • easy to use

Cons

  • after some use, feeder starts to get plugged
  • Better access to parts
  • work was completed faster
  • costed more for material
MakerBot Replicator is easy to use along with their software. Putting materials in or working on, it's an easy to use product.

well suited in the classroom for students, a person knowledgeable of device then they can make their own designs. Not suited for younger kids.
