Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to track USB device usage across all of our devices. We had a person who tried to steal proprietary information and needed a better way to get real-time logging on this to stop it from happening again.

Pros and Cons

Pros

agent installation
Easy to read and understand setup documentation
Site is easy to navigate
Alerts are good and east to be granular

Cons

Major issues with agent recently, has been the cause of BSOD on our network
Agent install can be wonky if it fails
No good way to get computer to sync once it's been offline for more than 15-30 days

Return on Investment

Piece of mind protecting our intellectual property
Being able to lock down USB usage to people who actually need it

Usability

The interface is the same across all of their products so it makes it easy to know how they lay things out.

I've only ever used Group Policy to control USB usage.

Likelihood to Recommend

Good way to protect your network if you have a lot of sensitive data. If you have visitors sign an NDA when they come in, then this should be part of your software suite. It is a bit expensive for what it does so I would avoid buying if you don't need more than a cursory logging of USB activity.
