Overall Satisfaction with Marketo Marketing Automation

We are using Marketo as our marketing communication tool. It has allowed us to touch base with candidates and clients that we may not have for some time. We have used Marketo for very large campaigns (over 400,000 contract in one campaign) to using it for time card reminders to our consultants. I am not sure what we would do now if we did not have Marketo. It is easy to work with and the community is invaluable! Members are always willing to provide feedback and help when you are looking for it.
  • You can design emails, forms, and landing pages easily.
  • Reporting is extremely helpful in analyzing your campaigns.
  • You can segment your contacts which allows you to always send the right content to the right person.
  • More reporting flexibility would be great.
  • Lead scoring enhancements would of benefit.
  • Alternate emails address for a person would be wonderful. Sometimes people use more than one email address. It would be great to have everything under the one record.
  • At times, ROI has been difficult to determine. It is hard to spend the money if you can't prove the value.
  • The ability to reach out to clients and candidates has been valuable. It is also helpful to see what content they are interested in so we can send them what is most important to them.
I have not used any other marketing automation tool in the past.
I do not make the decision on renewal. Our Directors and Executives make the decision on what we are using internally. We can only provide ROI and feedback to them before they make the decision. So far, so good.
Make sure that if you are going to integrate with a CRM that you have the ability to do so using a tool that is also easy to use. We integrated using one product and found that the integration did not work as expected. After several years, we are now moving to a new product we found and hopefully it will do the job.
