Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses the complete MasterControl Quality Excellence suite of products. Our entire QMS as well as event management and audit are all within MasterControl. It addresses our needs to consolidate our processes into a singular location for ease of use and accountability. Our organization also uses the document and training modules most frequently and conduct all SOP training through these modules.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Documents and training are solid products and everyone in our organization uses these for procedural training documentation.
FBS forms are effective and serves our business needs for the past five years.
Analytics and JReports have been extremely useful in getting all the information we need to perform tracking and trending through reports. Especially appreciate being able to export to excel

Cons

One of the improvement areas is the Audit
module which can be very cumbersome and must be processed through each step whether there are findings or not.
In addition to the cumbersome steps, the observation details sometimes does not retain details of the observation after the report approval step.
The FBS products or enhanced forms are not very flexible or easily changed for business use. They are hard coded

Return on Investment

Positive is having the individuals in our organization in one place for training and document management.
Negative is the bureaucratic overhead of processing step a certain way.
Negative is getting end users to go into the system regularly

Usability

As an individual who uses the system daily and perform functions as a sub admin, I am intricately familiar with the processes and how things work.
