Overall Satisfaction with Micro Focus Universal Discovery and Universal CMDB (formerly HP Universal CMDB)

  1. We use the discovery part with which we are able to discover almost all IT standard software.
  2. uCMDB/UD executes multiple discovery jobs that permit to address different technologies to build the service mapping of Business or Application Services.
  3. Capture and maintain information about configuration Items.
  4. Obsolescence management.
  • The UD discovery platform does an elaborate a job to discovery and create a comprehensive inventory of CIs.
  • Enables maintaining an up to date service dependency map of IT applications and infrastructure components.
  • Enables a detailed asset and configuration item (CI) information for specific.
  • Servers and the applications running on them.
  • Acts as a reference for technology obsolescence management.
  • Ability to integrate with technology EOL platforms for obsolescence management could be an improvement area.
