Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Defender

Antivirus part of overall Microsoft bundle for all end user compute. The cost was much lower and the effectiveness of the product made it stand out as viable option to replace alternatives that came at higher additional overheads. The product operated seamlessly in the background with noticed impact on system performance which is alot to be said as previously products would cause issues with performance on local workstations.

Testing and change management across a large organisation. The last thing you want is breaking euc across every employee. Microsoft 365 Defender rolled out without causing issues and transition was not really noticed as and end user.
I believe its simplified the landscape bit it could do better as part of an overall SOC bundle.

Yes

It seems to be a strong offering able to replace proprietary solutions. If you are already investing in the Microsoft ecosystem then start here but if not consider other options, in my opinion. Security is a no compromise capability these days so do your homework and validate your requirements against the product. But don't prematurely dismiss Microsoft 365 Defender as viable option simply because its not a standalone product.
