Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
We have a very small number of clients that use this product for their security solution. I have not had a lot of hands-on experience with it, but for the ones that do use it, it seems to work very well for them with very minimal interaction on our part.
- Does not bog down the system.
- Easy product to maintain.
- Clean interface.
- Could use some more options in the main GUI.
- Would like options for advanced scanning and protection.
- A advanced help or FAQ section.
- Good ROI.
- Easy
- Simple
- Ease of Use
I like the simplicity of deployment for this product to the client workstations. The fact that it is a product directly from Microsoft for their own Operation Systems helps to make compatibility easy. I have seen the product working very well in multiple other environments without any kind of issues.
We are only using the basic functions of the product as that is all the clients have wanted as of now. For some clients, we have set up the product and then they have monitored it, for others we have set up a monitoring software to alert for any issues the product encounters.
This product is deployed on about 20 machines in multiple client environments. All of these machines are running Windows servers. We do not have the product deployed on any Windows workstations, macOS, Android, or Linux machines. We do not have any plans to deploy this product to any other platforms.
This product does do a very good job of providing basic security protection for our client endpoints. We decided to go with this product because of the ease of setup and integration into the Windows server environment. We have not had any complaints from any of our clients using this product.
