Benefits

We have being using DLP since 2018 and Microsoft Purview DLP is exactly what we need for now. it helps with the integrations into Intunes, all the office apps, including word, excel, sharepoint, onedrive, etc. we are still working on to improve it to securely protect our data and email

Migration

The process was ok. there was hiccups during the process, but everything worked out in the end. As stated before, we are currently making tweaks and improvements to our office365 tenant to make it more efficiently and less time for our team to review all alerts that come through via email

Product Evolution

I am hoping that the solution will be able to talk to 3rd party applications (Gmail, Yahoo, etc). It would make it easier to see to possibility block an individual from sending out PHI to their personal email. This was give an IT department to security protect information from leaking out

Varonis Data Security Platform

The DLP was already part of our tenant so we saved money by using it. With others, we would have to built/implement VMs to connect to the tenant, which we were not willing do. Since we had access to it, we decided to stick with it and we are happy with that result
