I have used Microsoft Security Copilot while working with various PowerShell scripts to help with syntax and errors.

Pros

Helps with finding errors in PowerShell scripts.
Quick to answer questions about Excel formulas.
Microsoft Security Copilot helps with summarizing and creating meeting notes.

Cons

I have run into issues working with scripts where I spend more time explaining what isn't working than researching and fixing it myself.
Microsoft Security Copilot sometimes contradicts itself when writing scripts.
Additional training can be provided.

Return on Investment

Helps reduce time spent creating a baseline script.
Some errors get corrected but then get reintroduced while adding functionality.
I noticed that when using this for PowerShell it will sometimes have you install the module in the script without verifying if it is already installed. You must read the script before executing.

This is very easy to use and can't wait to see how it continues to improve. It is very scary to think how good this AI tool will become. I have only used it for a few different things and have already become reliant on it before using other tools. Very much worth giving it a try.

I have used mostly ChatGPT and Microsoft Security Copilot. I feel that Microsoft Security Copilot is a little bit better when helping with Microsoft products. I think both products can give you what you want, but Microsoft Security Copilot seems to use a more streamlined approach and seems to be a little faster when trying to correct syntax errors.

However, don't spend too much time troubleshooting mistakes without looking up syntax yourself to make things quicker. Microsoft Security Copilot is very good with helping with Excel functions. It may offer an option that you never thought of using.
