Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security

We use mimecast to protect our organizational environment against email threats, spam filtering, and data leak prevention. It helps ensure that no emails with personal information gets out and is stopped. We have ours set up to halt any emails coming in, and going out that contain certain information such as credit card numbers, as well as certain documents (like Excel) which may contain them. This allows us to effectively vet those emails and reduce the risk of a data leak.

  • Easy whitelisting/blacklisting of domains/senders.
It does exactly what we need to do and is very secure. Only certain people can log into the Mimecast portal, and it is also secured with 2FA. It's helped stop an endless amount of spam coming into our environment and potentially malicious files.
It works well with our environment and effectively filters out spam, junk, and other phishing attempts. We can see the amount of junk mail coming in on the portal, so we can measure how effective the system is when it comes to protecting our environment.

As our company works with financial institutions, it's important that all emails coming in and out are vetted and checked to avoid the risk of someone's personal details being leaked. Mimecast will stop any incoming or outgoing email with personal details such as credit card numbers and even any file that can be used to potentially hide these details from getting out of our network.
