Overall Satisfaction with Onshape

We are an FDA-regulated department within the health system. Onshape allows us to very nicely track revision history as part of our design control process.

  • Mating objects are a little difficult to work with
  • The mirror tool is limited to parts, removing the ability to "add" to the existing part
  • Saves hard drive storage
  • Quicker time to market/iteration

Onshape is best suited for collaborative design and tracking revisions of a design, especially restoring versions. You can manage permissions so that anyone can view them, instead of creating 3-D PDF files, which adds to the interactiveness of the platform.
