Overall Satisfaction with Onshape

We use Onshape for the design of a prototype of a machine to produce electricity.
  • Quick and easy to learn.
  • No IT overhead.
  • Never loose your work in crashes again!
  • New features and improvements every three weeks.
  • Integrated FEA
  • Internal libraries for materials, threads and standard items like beams too much focused on US standards.
  • It took a while for Onshape to add total weight calc on assembly drawings. (fixed now)
  • Some tutorials don't always keep pace with the three week update cycle.
  • The models we made can be animated to give a better understanding of workings to investors and clients.
  • Your business can be up and running Onshape within hours of contacting them.
  • Onshape runs on PC's, Laptops, Tablets and phones.
  • Everyone is always looking at the latest data.
Support is quick, friendly and helpful. You can discuss the best ways to tackle your design challenges.
For us, Onshape threw in the onboarding course for free to get started. The concept with the document, part studio and assembly tabs is quick to get used to. For the rest, Onshape is a tab in your browser. You open it and get going. There is off course much to learn, but the tutorials are very good.
