Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Analytics Server (formerly Oracle BI Foundation Suite)

We are looking to both use and sell products that help us monitor and aggregate data for us and our clients. Oracle's name and reputation are one that is not surpassed. We believe using advanced analytical programs, like Oracle's, will help us stay on top of emerging technologies as well as accomplish our goal of utilizing the data of our company and clients to its fullest.

Pros

  • Find anomalies.
  • Understand anomalies.
  • Fix anomalies.
  • Help prevent the problems that it shows us.

Cons

  • More AI but with human back up.
  • Less mumbo jumbo so even IT guys/gals can more easily work.
  • More statistics (math) and orientation for those not familiar with it.
  • More live as well as virtual (live) show casing of real situations in business.
  • We are still reviewing this.
  • So far we believe we will be using this product in the future more and more.
  • The speed and smoothness of the interfaces are a pleasure to use even with 'boring' stuff!
  • Acoustic Analytics (formerly IBM Watson Customer Experience Analytics)
IBM is also a very fine contributor in these fields of software engineering. They like Oracle are the masters of large data, whether for large entities, or small shops.

Oracle, for anyone that is slightly interested in the goings-on within companies, especially large influential ones on a world scale, know that like IBM and such, is soo admired, that even entities larger than it, have tried to 'knock it' down. But as in life and with man, it is impossible to keep a good thing 'down'. :)

2 - Learning the processes and testing the benefits of statistics/analytics.
2 - Mainly IT and business (accounting and such).
  • The sky is the limit and will only get better the more we learn from it.
  • Check the general state of our modules.
  • Check the state of our clients data.
  • Research for future use and expansion (of both our company and the BI).
  • The great extent that AI has come over the last decade.
  • Checking to see how 'correct' certain predictions are.
It is only a matter of time for us to fully integrate and expand to Oracle products.

Like most other large implementations of such technical programs, it pays to plan as much upfront as possible, and this is why we are researching this great product so much.

Change management was minimal - Enjoyed/enjoying the options and new ideas that this program has brought.

Seems just right. We are still implementing it but we don't envision any serious problems based on the trial/demo.
Only what the docs suggest and in-house knowledge based on our requirements.

It is there for the taking when we are ready.

We have seen the results of this in our initial research and are not surprised that Oracle does this like it does soo many other things in this area, so well.
No problems, it's that simple.
Other than anomalies or expected quirks, there were never any earth-shattering delays.

We are not done testing or we would give it a 10.
