Overall Satisfaction with Oracle ERP Cloud

As a systems integrator, we are required to leverage all cloud providers. Oracle ERP Cloud availability is instrumental in government agencies who have a reliance on Oracle products, in particular, the financials modules. Oracle implementations are targeted to a small set of government agencies. The main problem(s) Oracle ERP Cloud addresses is the migration from on-premise to a hybrid environment consisting of on-premise and Cloud.

  • Simplification of Oracle access

Cons

  • Marketing of capabilities - always appears to be catching up to Cloud leaders
  • Orchestration of virtual appliances is not as robust as Cloud leaders
  • Positive impact for our business development team for land and expand sell strategy
  • Positive impact for our and agencies ROI for allowing native (Oracle based applications) migration
Oracle faired well against these other products for those customers who have a heavy Oracle product footprint. The decision to leverage Oracle ERP Cloud was primarily influenced by the implementation of Oracle products and the desire to move to the cloud.
Oracle ERP Cloud is an amazing option for government agencies who are small to mid-size. Agencies running Oracle's suite of products would benefit from the seamless migration to the Oracle Cloud. Agencies who have leveraged Oracle Financial and want to migrate their non-Oracle related applications would also benefit from this offering. This is a solid alternative to AWS and Azure.
