Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

We use this at multiple manufacturing sites in our organization, with different languages and different currencies. I primarily use this for Finance and Accounting, as well as internal reporting and analysis. The main advantage is that most sites are now on one common platform, which allows us to share best practices among the various teams at different locations.

Pros

  • Uploading large data sets
  • Customized general ledger mapping
  • Maintain a global chart of accounts

Cons

  • Inconsistency across different modules
  • Error resolution is not easy to follow
  • Sometimes you have to click "OK" too many times to accept an input
  • We have spent a lot more on this project than originally expected - at least three times as much
  • The most tangible benefit is that this gets us away from old early 190's technology
  • No real hard savings on efficiency improvement yet
I like the program, but it is only as good as the initial implementation and the user support required after go-live. I don't think pre-implementation training needs to be too much of a focus, but once you're live, there needs to be an intense focus on working with users and providing high-quality resources to help.

Do you think Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP's feature set?

Yes

Did Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP go as expected?

No

Would you buy Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP again?

Yes

This works well for manufacturing companies without a lot of unique processes that would require customization. The most important thing is to get a high quality consulting team to help with the implementation. Otherwise, you will waste time doing what you think is right, only to find out later that it was wrong.

Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Implementation

Don't simply take someone's suggestion, and don't simply go for the cheapest company. Ask good questions before finalizing a decision.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation - There was not enough in-house training provided. People were left to fend for themselves.
  • Reports
  • Auto invoice errors
  • Costing
