Overall Satisfaction with Oracle SCM Cloud

It is being used extensively by the Procurement and Supply Chain team. Streamlining processes for Vendor Management, Tenders. Used to consolidate, manage, and govern the spend data.

Pros

  • Strong backend system to handle huge amounts of data. Streamlines P2P, O2C, VM processes.
  • Made supplier registration easier.
  • Security is top class.
  • Incorporates some of the best industry practices.
  • Reporting capabilities.

Cons

  • UI - Needs a definite update. Tool can do wonders if UI is intuitive.
  • Excel based data doesn't upload easily.
  • No open APIs, integration is not possible with other tools.
  • Extra charges for a module for integration.
  • Implementation is not easy.
  • Positive - gives visibility into the supply chain, eventually giving you control of your spending.
  • Supplier information is properly stored and helps in maintaining the relationship with suppliers.
