Overall Satisfaction with OU Campus

OU Campus Content Management System is used across our campus to update the content for our entire university website.
  • OU Campus is quite simply a very easy product to manage and maintain for our users across campus.
  • The easy-to-use interface makes using the product easy. As the administrator for OU Campus, I can set up user access and preferences according to user knowledge and expertise.
  • Using OU Campus daily gives us the ability to keep our website up-to-date with quick access and easy usability.
  • With version 10 of OU Campus, OmniUpdate has continued to grow and expand according to user needs.
  • With OU Campus as our CMS, our content remains up-to-date and easy to maintain back-end information for SEO. We have seen a significant increase in search engine traffic, along with repeat visitors to our website.
  • Our users on campus now have the content in their hands. This took away the bottleneck with other CMS products we have used. By providing users with easy log-in, simple navigation and updates, content continues to always be updated for website visitors.
We selected OU Campus after reviewing a number of CMS products and are extremely happy.
Considering the product is geared toward higher-education, the potential customer should ask about tech support, ease of set-up and end-user needs.

Using OU Campus

OU Campus provides excellent customer service including instruction for administrators and end-users alike.
5 - Good people skills needed for end-user training. Experience with HTML is needed.

We renewed our contract with OmniUpdate-OU Campus for reasons previously mentioned and also the well-provided tech support received from the company.

Evaluating OU Campus and Competitors

Yes - We were previously using Contribute. With Contribute, we did not have a workflow in place, a way to run reports, ways to back-up content and more.

OU Campus Implementation

The support team at OmniUpdate is available to assisting campuses with implementation.

Our initial implementation was done with the assistance of OmniUpdate. Our complete overhaul was done with assistance from OU Campus and Noel Levitz.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - Our overhaul two years ago was in-part by management. They saw how OU Campus was helping the campus and wanted to go a step further with a complete overhaul of the site.
  • Training end-users with a completely new system. Easily overcome with online training and hands-on training.

OU Campus Support

The support at OmniUpdate is one of the reasons we continued with the company when time for renewal of contract.

Yes - We pay for support that includes support tickets and phone calls.
Yes - As administrators of the product come across a bug, we report it to OmniUpdate. OmniUpdate updates their product often and will resolve any bugs found.
We went through a complete overhaul of our site two years ago. OmniUpdate was available to assist with moving our site to a new server while at the same time launching a complete new site.

  • User log-in and content updates are made with ease across our campus.
  • Administration of users is easy to manage.
  • When a user is no longer available on the campus, we would like the ability to be notified in the system. This may be a function needed to be set up through our I.T. department.
